Man charged in reported robbery on Ashland Park Boulevard

A Rome man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with robbery by sudden snatching.

According to the warrant:

27-year-old Tyre Dajuan Stinson snatched an Android Galaxy from a woman’s hand on Sunday.

He also destroyed the windshield of a vehicle belonging to the victim.

Stinson is additionally charged with 2nd-degree criminal damage to property, and a probation violation.

Man accused of burglarizing business near airport

A 32-year-old Rome man was arrested on Monday on Capitoline Drive on a 2nd-degree burglary charge.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Juan Pedro Reyes forced his way into a business at 100 Capitoline Drive near the airport and stole two mattresses and two platforms, valued at a combined $1,200.

He put the items in the back of his truck and then told the police he did not steal them.

Reyes is also charged with theft by taking, criminal trespass, and obstruction of law enforcement.

Report: Man found with cannabis vape during arrest on misdemeanor warrants

A Rome man was arrested at his Cliff View Drive home on Monday and charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

22-year-old Jakeryus Marquez Freeman was found with a cannabis vape while being placed under arrest on misdemeanor warrants issued by the Rome Municipal Court for failure to appear.

Warrant: Convicted felon had firearm

A man from Reading, Pennsylvania, is in the Floyd County Jail, charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to the arrest warrant:

37-year-old Cody Ray Brand was in possession of a Smith and Wesson 40 caliber on November 6 at a location on Turner Road in Armuchee.

Brand is also being held on a couple of probation violation warrants.
