Woman accused of assaulting another woman
A Rome woman was arrested at her John Davenport Drive home on a felony count of aggravated assault.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
33-year-old Simone Janae Jackson used her arm to strangle a 59-year-old woman and then pulled the victim to the ground.
The altercation was witnessed by children.
Jackson is additionally charged with disorderly conduct and 3rd-degree cruelty to children.
Woman charged with burglary
A Cartersville woman was booked into the Floyd County Jail on a 1st-degree burglary charge.
According to jail records:
27-year-old Aaliyah Kirstin Holmes entered an unoccupied apartment on Ashland Park Boulevard in Rome, where she remained, and utilized services without the permission of the victim.
