Man charged with aggravated assault
A Dallas, Georgia, man is accused of assaulting a woman during a domestic altercation on Lakeview Drive in the Garden Lakes area on Wednesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
21-year-old Luis Estrada struck the victim in the head with a firearm, causing a visible injury.
Estrada and the victim are in a relationship and had previously resided together.
Estrada is charged with aggravated assault.
Man accused of pointing a firearm at another person
An 18-year-old Rome man is facing a felony aggravated assault charge following an incident on Monday of this week on Mark Street in the Glenwood area.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Keano Sanjay Nestor pointed a firearm at an 18-year-old female.
He is additionally charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Nestor was initially arrested on Dec. 1 after police said he was maintaining a disorderly house where minors, under the age of 21, were consuming alcohol, using tobacco products, and engaging in fights.
Woman charged with terroristic threats and acts
An Atlanta woman is facing a misdemeanor count of terroristic threats and acts following an incident at Wingstop on Turner McCall Boulevard.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
34-year-old Lakia Owens threatened a 22-year-old woman by stating she was going to “Beat her ass.”
She also threatened to throw her drink at the victim.
