-Floyd County Police Department report-
A motorist was able to escape injury in a single-vehicle crash on Park Road off of Cave Spring Road.
According to the Floyd County Police report:
The driver of a 2006 Toyota Sienna swerved to avoid hitting a possum but misjudged and overcorrected.
The vehicle left the road and came to rest in a ditch.
As the vehicle was being removed by a towing company, its front end snagged a water line to a house, ripping the line from the meter.
There were no injuries, and no citations were issued.
