Woman charged in April 16 incident
A Rome woman has been arrested on multiple charges, including felony obstruction of officers and terroristic threats and acts, in connection with an incident on April 16.
According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:
Officers responded to Calhoun Road in reference to a lookout involving a reckless driver.
They made contact with 39-year-old Brittany Anne Bradshaw, who appeared to be under the influence, refused to identify herself, and attempted to flee on foot.
She then put her arms around the officer and attempted to throw him to the ground.
Bradshaw continued to resist, even after she was taken to the ground.
She made numerous threats at the scene and at the emergency room at the hospital, including her wish to shoot the officer who had arrested her.
Alcohol, drug paraphernalia, and prescription medicine were located in the vehicle.
Bradshaw is additionally charged with driving under the influence of multiple substances, open container, reckless driving, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects, a headlight violation, and a brake light violation.
Man charged with meth possession
A Lindale man is facing drug charges following his arrest on Cartersville Highway on Wednesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
45-year-old Donald Joseph Ray was found with methamphetamine in his lap and in his vehicle’s center console.
Marijuana was located in the driver’s side door panel.
Ray is charged with possession of meth and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
