Man accused of burglarizing Glenwood home
An arrest has been made in a burglary that occurred back on April 25 on Cordle Drive.
According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:
52-year-old Stephen Terry Cordle entered the residence and took a safe and other items, valued at more than $2,000.
He is charged with 1st-degree burglary, felony theft by taking, and criminal trespass.
Man charged in burglary at Etowah Terrace
A homeless man has been arrested on a 1st-degree burglary.
According to the arrest warrants:
47-year-old James Lincoln Lowe entered an apartment at Etowah Terrace through a rear patio door and took $100.
The incident occurred on May 1.
Lowe is also charged with a misdemeanor count of theft by taking.
Man charged in violent altercation
A Rome man has been arrested in connection with an incident at his Atwood Drive residence back on May 11.
According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County jail records:
Joshua Isaac Caleb Weintraub got in the victim’s face and screamed before punching him in the neck, leaving a mark.
He then physically prevented the victim from calling the police or leaving the residence by grabbing him and the phone.
Weintraub then fled into the woods when police arrived.
He is charged with false imprisonment, obstructing a person from making a 911 call, simple assault, simple battery, and misdemeanor obstruction of officers.
Man arrested on drug, weapon charge
A Blacks Bluff Road man was jailed on Monday on drug charges.
According to Floyd County jail records:
During a traffic stop, 46-year-old Adam Ray Couey was found with Adderall pills, which appeared to be packaged for resale, a set of scales, marijuana, and a firearm, which were all located in the back seat of the vehicle.
Couey is charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects, possession of drugs not in the original container, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Man accused of resisting arrest, possessing meth
A Calhoun man was booked into the Floyd County Jail on charges of obstruction of officers, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
According to jail records:
26-year-old David Dante Haywood ran from officers and resisted as they were attempting to arrest him on a warrant for escape.
Authorities then located meth and marijuana in his backpack.
