Dennis
A Rome woman is facing charges after she allegedly struck two people with her vehicle on Branham Avenue late Friday night.
According to Floyd County Jail records and a Rome Police Department report:
A witness said there had been an argument, and 25-year-old Rodneyshia Jermayian Shonta Dennis got into her vehicle, which was parked at Lovejoy Baptist Church.
She then drove at a high rate of speed into a group of people, striking two of them.
One of the victims, a 64-year-old woman, sustained a serious head injury.

Darden
Dennis then drove back to the church and parked the vehicle.
That’s when 42-year-old Christopher Lamont Darden of Rome discharged a firearm, striking Dennis’ vehicle.
Dennis is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, serious injury by vehicle, DUI, reckless conduct, and open container.
Darden is charged with aggravated assault.
