Man accused of choking another man
A Lindale man was jailed Tuesday on a felony warrant charging him with aggravated assault.
According to the warrant:
21-year old Joshua Riordan put his hands around another man’s throat and squeezed, preventing the victim from being able to breathe.
The incident occurred on June 30 at Riordan’s Avenue D residence.
Man charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance
A traffic stop for a window tint violation on West Eighth Street at Keelway Drive ended with the arrest of a 51-year-old Rome man on drug charges on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Gregory Lamar Finley Jr. was found with synthetic marijuana in his coin pocket.
He is charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, a brake light violation, and a window tin violation.
Report: Inmate drank hand sanitizer
An inmate at the Floyd County Jail is facing a misdemeanor theft by taking charge.
According to jail records:
51-year-old Micah West Blankenship took a bottle of hand sanitizer belonging to the jail and drank it.
Blankenship was initially arrested earlier in the week for allegedly stalking and threatening his neighbor on Kirkwood Street in the Riverside Community.
