AdventHealth will be hosting a Community AngioScreen event on Wednesday, August 12th, from 7:00am to 3:00pm at the AdventHealth Redmond campus.
The vascular screening is noninvasive and is designed to help identify risk factors for heart disease and stroke before symptoms occur. The screening takes around ten minutes and provides immediate results for patients.
Included in the AngioScreen is screening for Stroke using a carotid artery ultrasound, an EKG of the heart, ankle brachial indexes, and an abdominal aortic aneurysm screening.
This screening is recommended for those with cardiovascular risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, a history of smoking, family history of stroke or heart attack, or a personal history of cardiovascular issues. Adults aged 55 and up are also encouraged to participate.
The complete screening costs $85 a person and is HSA eligible. Cash, checks, credit cards, and HAS/flex spending cards are accepted. Appointment is required. An appointment can be made at http://bit.ly/CommunityAngioScreen or by calling the AngioScreen office at 706-290-8008.
