More charges have been filed in connection with an alleged gang initiation that occurred in May.
According to the arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:
24-year-old Tashaun Jamar Hames, a purported member of The Bloods, is charged with violation of the Georgia Criminal Street Gang Act and possession of a sawed-off shotgun.
Authorities found a shotgun during the execution of a search warrant at his Moran Lake Road home, where the initiation, also known as a “beat-in,” took place.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old Jamerius Jaishaun McDearmont, 18-year-old Jackie David Cantrell III, and 20-year-old Devonte Mekhi Daniels are all charged with participating in criminal street gang activity and simple battery for their roles in the initiation.
