Man killed in motorcycle crash on Wednesday

An Armuchee man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Highway 27 North at Dugger Drive on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Georgia State Patrol:

A silver Toyota RAV4 was stopped at the intersection, and a green Kawasaki 650 motorcycle was heading north on Martha Berry Highway in the left lane.

As the motorcycle approached, the RAV4 made a left turn onto the highway, directly into the path of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle struck the left front fender of the RAV4.

The impact caused the motorcyclist to be thrown over the RAV4 and land in the roadway.

41-year old James David Cochran was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
