[VIDEO] 2023 Chili Fest takes place at Ridge Ferry Park on Saturday

Saturday afternoon 26 teams competed for the title of Rome’s best Chili at the Chili Fest Cook-Off presented by Georgia Power and the Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Department at Ridge Ferry Park.

Aside from the opportunity to try delicious chili, the large event featured arts and crafts vendors, food, a car show, and live music.

A panel of preselected judges gave teams the opportunity to win trophies, cash prizes, and the coveted championship belt.

There was also a people’s choice award that the public could submit votes for their favorite competitor.
