Saturday morning Rome and Floyd County honored all veterans at the annual Veteran’s Day Ceremony on Myrtle Hill.
The Marine Corps League joined by American Legion Post 5, Post 52, and the Exchange Club of Rome honored the 100th anniversary of the burial of Charles Graves at the cemetery. The replica of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was also present at the ceremony.
The primary speaker at the event was Chaplain David Thornton of the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.
