Rome Police responded to a reported armed robbery early Monday at the North Broad Food Mart.
According to a Rome Police report:
Video footage showed a man in a mask going behind the counter and pointing a handgun at the store clerk.
The suspect can be seen taking cash from the register, estimated at around $1,500.
At one point, the suspect’s mask fell, showing a little more of his face.
He appeared to be an older black male with a beard.
The man entered the store at around 2:22 a.m. and was there about 30 seconds before leaving on foot, walking toward Harvey Street.
