A juvenile correctional sergeant has been arrested on felony warrants charging him with aggravated assault by strangulation and violation of oath of office.

According to the warrants:

32-year-old Naji Cooke of Rome choked a juvenile at the Bob Richards Regional Youth Detention Center on Marable Way in Rome on February 9.

The victim was handcuffed at the time of the assault, according to the warrants.

Cooke was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Tuesday and bond was set 1t $11,200.
