Wind Advisory extended until 2 p.m. Tuesday

The National Weather Service has extended a Wind Advisory, which is now in effect until 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Southeast winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected.

Locally stronger gusts in mountainous terrain may be possible.

The advisory is for portions of north-central, northeast, and northwest Georgia, including Floyd, Bartow, Gordon, Chattooga, and Polk Counties.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.

Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle.

Secure outdoor objects.
