Man accused of trying to hit another man with vehicle

A Lindale man is accused of trying to run over a man with his mini-van at a location on Turner McCall Boulevard on Monday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

49-year-old John Alexander Causer also grabbed a woman by the arms.

He is charged with aggravated assault and simple battery.

Report: Man choked, head-butted woman

A Lindale man was arrested Monday at his Miller Mountain Road home on charges of aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and battery.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

35-year-old Johnny Dewayne Kelley put his hands around a woman’s neck, causing her to struggle for air.

He also head-butted the victim, and pulled her into the house, not allowing her to leave.

Report: Man found with stolen handgun, and more than an ounce of marijuana

An East Rome man, who was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over for a brake light violation at Glenn Milner Boulevard and East Second Avenue Monday, is facing felony charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

The vehicle was searched following a K9 indication and more than an ounce of marijuana was found along with a 9mm handgun.

The gun had been reported stolen in Cherokee County, Alabama.

There was also a digital scale and baggies in the vehicle.

20-year-old Chance Jabez Donaldson is charged with theft by receiving stolen property, felony possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of drug-related objects, and tampering with evidence.

Woman arrested on drug charges during traffic stop

A traffic stop on a vehicle without its headlights on at Turner McCall Boulevard and Riverbend Drive ended with the arrest of a Lindale woman early Tuesday morning.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Following a K9 indication, the vehicle driven by 40-year-old Annemarie Cintron was searched.

Police found synthetic marijuana, three tramadol tablets, a glass smoking device, and an open beer.

Cintron is charged with possession of synthetic marijuana, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of drug-related objects, open container, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and driving without headlights.

Man arrested on drug charges during traffic stop

A Shannon man was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Highway 27 South at Sanders Drive Monday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

26-year-old Zachary Colt Edwards Sr. was found with suspected methamphetamine and a small amount of marijuana.

He is charged with possession of meth, a misdemeanor count of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and driving with a revoked license.
